Welcome!

My name is Dorean, and I have a passion for storytelling and video journalism. With a background in Sociology and International Relations, I am drawn to stories that help us understand the systems and institutions that uphold our world and more specifically, the every day people affected by them.

I recently produced a story titled "Follow the Food: The Invisible Workforce that Sustains the American Farming Industry" for NBC News. Our story follows Mireya, a college student and child farmworker in Washington state.

My love of language and adventure has taken me around the world and prompted the start of my platform--
